    I posted in 2007 about one of these.. here

    I've got the GAS.. I want one, case closed, where can I get one please? :D

    Is importing my only option? Ebay has nothin'.

    Thanks a lot. I've just noticed that flea's nowhere to be found anywhere on there. Doesn't bother me too much, as long as the hardware is the same!

    Wonder has price gone down much since it's not a sig model anymore. It's 'Funk unlimited' now.

    Found a distributor in the UK and emailed them:
    Hi Dan

    Thanks for your interest in this superb instrument from Modulus now know as the Funk Unlimited.

    All Modulus instruments are built to customer order and the only bass we have exactly to the same specification is one in the stunning new orange flake with matching headstock. A new instrument in blue flake could take 6-12 months (we'd have to check the next available run with Modulus as flakes are only run 2-3 times a year with 24 instruments per run because the flake finish causes massive and time consuming clean-up in the Modulus spray shop which is constantly in use).

    We don't sell through dealers any more to keep the price at a level that makes it more cost effective than say buying a bass from the US website Musicians Friend (who discount by 25% but after carriage, import duty and VAT will generally price more expensive than buying from us the official UK distributor for over 11 years).

    The orange flake is available for immediate delivery at £2250.00 delivered to UK mainland address. This one will not hang around for long.

    Please note that our web page prices are 2008 prices; Modulus raised prices by 14% earlier this year and with the cost of the US Dollar v Sterling going up 20-25% as well since last year this explains the difference in price.

    These are simply excellent instruments, think PRS guitar quality and add 10% and that's what you get with a Modulus. Plus...a great big grin when you open up the case, strap on and plug in and play!
