    Hey guys,

Its been a while since ive posted here but a few of ye would know im a big fan of musicman guitars and am proud to say i was the first in Ireland to own BFR John Petrucci model guitar.:D
Well its the 25th anniversary of EBMM this year and they produced a stunner of an axe called the "25th Anniversary" which was available in both bass and electric guitar models. It is to become a production model next year though and is to be called "Reflex" as far as i know.it is similiar in shape to the axis or supersport but has wider variety of tones due to the ability of splitting the coils.
I also bought a new amp for my rig the new series one from Blackstar which is an absolute monster of an amp.it is as good if not better than any mesaboogie on the market IMHO and the range of tones and the sounds you get from this amp are absolutely amazing, the cleans and gain channels are fantastic.cant wait to get this beast to its first gig.
    Well enjoy the pics!;):)

So what amp would you compare the blackstar to. Do they have a nice amount of gain for heavier stuff?

I wouldnt compare it to anything to be honest, maybe the mesa mark IV in terms of the gain channels.theres 4 channels in this beast,clean,crunch,OD1 and OD2.
Theres also 2modes for the clean and crunch channels which makes it a 6 channel amp in theory.
It also has a cool feature called DPR (Dynamic power reduction) which can turn power on the amp down from 200watts to 20watts with no loss of tone from the valves.
Lets just say also guys that there is no need to buy anysort of boost pedal for this amp as theres is enough GAIN in thie OD channels to cover the heaviest of rock/metal.
heres a link to the website with Jamie Humphries doing a demo of this amp.ive also heard recently that the folks at blackstar have given james hetfield from metallica one of these amps to try out and apparently he was very impressed with it.
