Manager asks me to stay late?

    I work part time in a supermarket and a Manager asks me to stay late. What are the laws on this topic does anybody know.

    The law? If you're talking about prior notice to change of rostered hours- that's to with the actual change of the roster or say closing time. You were asked to stay late, probably only a few hours before you were due to leave. It's only asking, you can say no, they cannot force you to stay later. Make sure any extra hours don't go over 37.5 hours or you most likely won't be paid for any overtime.
