If I place a bet at noon today on a Amercian Football game where the team was +5.5 when it should be -5.5 and the game kicks off at midnight.

I understand that the bet can be cancel due to an error.

But when can they cancel the bet.

Can it be turn into a free bet for bookies where if they lose they say sorry bet is void due to technical error or keep if your cash if they win?

Bookmakers reserve the right to correct any palpable error made by their staff. In this Case it would be deemed a palpable error and your bet would be made a non runner.

If you write them an e-mail and complain you are a regular customer blah blah you might get a free bet out of it.

    Thanks for the reply

Sorry but if they admit a couple of hours before the game there is a technical problem on the line where do I stand.

I want to know if I lay off part my bet at the last second cause I think my bet stands that it ends up turning around that it is cancelled and I lose both bets.

There has to be a line drawn in when a bet is valid.

    Paddy Power rules
If there are any blatant errors in prices transmitted bets will be settled at the correct price at the time of acceptance or the Starting Price (where applicable) whichever is the greater. We also reserve the right to void any bets where there has been a blatant error in prices.

To be honest I'm not sure as regards the Time etc.

The fact is there is none.

A bet is a gentleman's agreement and there are no laws which must be followed.
