Proper Buffalo Wings

Why are there no proper buffalo wings in Ireland?
Seriously, some of the crap you see trotted out as buffalo wings here is ridiculous! Proper buffalo wings are fried to within an inch of their life and tossed in a combination of hot sauce and butter, and served with blue cheese dressing and celery sticks. They got the name because the recipe was invented in the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York
Listen up Eddie Rockets - there is no barbecue sauce on buffalo wings. Sort it!

I have been reliably informed that Elephant & Castle do proper buffalo wings. Never tried them though.

Ever wonder why buffalos drink red bull? It's because it gives them wings :pac:

    Pu Pu Platter, I thought.

For that matter, wheres the Donut? fair play to Aldi, you're on your way to having at least some access to actual ice cream. Not that super fake carton of processed vanilla flavoring flavored garbage you find in tesco. Ugh.

Buffalo wings are out of the question. Frankly so is anything properly spicy.

OP is correct though .....overall the wings blow in Ireland.

    Two options:

    1) Go to Elephant and Castle; or

    2) Go back home

I am assuming that either will make you less audible.

I have it on good authority that stew was very good in new york. His brother ham told me so!

As a huge wing fan, I must say I've been disappointed since moving to Ireland (crap pizza (except Tonic in Blackrock...mmmmm) and kebabs here too, for the most part). But, Elephant and Castle do good wings (expensive), and Ollie's Bar in Skerries do great ones too.

There's the nail on the head.

OP, you fell for a marketing ploy.

I'd say its more to do with the fact that we're not used to spicy over here, what with spices other than salt only be available in the last 18 months. The food we get here is supposed to be bland, overpriced and over cooked.
