Shipping from the UK to individual stores is very easy and quite cheap if you negotiate properly. Setting up as a distributor will add about 20% to your costs and also to the retail price for no real benifit to anybody.

As a distributor, you will be responsible for retailers paying slowly, closing down, damaged goods, goods missing from deliveries etc etc etc.

As an agent, you sell the goods, you get paid a commission. Goods can have a lower retail price, thus increasing sales. If a shop closes without paying, all you lose is your commission.
