M'baye vacated the title as he is unable to defend it due to injury. Rasilla lost an EU title fight to Andy Murray back in March but I doubt he will be taken lightly, especially with Paul being called in at the last minute vs Lynes last year.

It would have been better to take the title from M'baye and im sure he worked hard for this fight but hopefully this will open even more doors for him.

Part of me was hoping Olusegun would be brought in and McCloskey would be forced into a sink or swim fight.

Rasilla really shouldn't pose too many troubles for Paul, and unfortunately winning the title against Rasilla rather than M'Baye will downgrade the achievement of gaining the European title in many peoples eyes.

Of course I'm getting ahead of myself saying he'll win(although he really should) but I hope that should he do so they get him a few tough defences before they look at a World title shot. No point ruining his potential World title chance because he's not experienced enough.

its a shame but rasilla is better than dean harrison but is not going to cause problems for mc closkey

On paper Rasilla has a respectable record and it would have been a bit of a farce if it was Colin Lynes.

I am glad it is Rasilla and not Olusegun. This is my opinion will give McCloskey time to settle into the title and arrange the Olusegun to be a final eliminator for a World title.

I spoke to Andy Murray yesterday for a few minutes and he said he was raging that he never stopped Rasilla.

Grant Murray is a very different fighter McCloskey with almost opposite styles but I predict that McCloskey WILL KO Rasilla.
