Dental work in Bangkok?

    Hi all,

Off to Bangkok soon. Need to get a veneer on a discoloured tooth, very expensive in Ireland, but a number of friends have mentioned that dental work in Thailand is both cheap and of a high standard. Has anyone had any experience of this, or would anyone be able to point me in the right direction?

    Thanks

This forum isn't really intended for such queries. I'll leave it for a day or so to see if anyone posts, but I do feel it may be better posted in the dental forum, so I'll move it then.

Known as one of the worlds busiest hospitals for medical tourism. Wont be the cheapest available but it is renowned.

Damnit. I thought someone was looking for Dental Hygenists or something. I'll keep looking at the mall ads.

I know people who've had minor and major dental work in Thailand but I've no idea where they've had their work done.

    Hi,

Just wondering if you got dental work in Thailand that time. I am heading over in november and need a few fillings. Really considering getting them done there as they are so expensive here:( Just wondering whether it's safe or not

I've had my teeth cleaned in Thailand (so not a very extensive job). I can't help with the location for you. It was in a town called Sisaket which is well off the tourist paths in Thailand.

Would recommend it to anyone. The dentist took her time and when it was finished my teeth were the cleanest they've ever been. When she was finished she told me to rinse and there wasn't one drop of blood. This is not the same kind of experience I've had with my local dentists in Ireland. Maybe I've been unlucky but they usually give me a 15 minute clean and there's plenty of blood.

It cost me about €15 which I'd guess is the ferang rate and took her about an hour.
