Dennis Hopper has prostate cance

Dennis Hopper has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, his manager told The Associated Press.

Sam Maydew said the 73-year-old actor, who recently wrapped shooting the second season of the Starz drama Crash, is being treated at the University of Southern California. Hopper has canceled all travel plans to focus on his treatment.

"We're hoping for the best," Maydew said.

Hopper's health was in the headlines last month when he was hospitalized in New York for flulike symptoms and a stomach ailment and was forced to back out of a number of TV appearances. He checked out of the hospital the next day after being treated for dehydration.

Medics have reportedly informed Dennis Hopper that he may be facing his final days.

The 73-year-old actor, who revealed in October that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer and had begun an experimental treatment, is said to be losing his battle with the disease, according to the News of the World.

Doctors have allegedly admitted that hopes for the Easy Rider star are fading after the cancer spread to his bones.

Hopper is currently starring in a television adaptation of the 2004 Oscar-winning movie Crash.

Dennis Hopper has filed for divorce from wife Victoria.

Hopper, who's undergoing experimental treatment for prostate cancer, petitioned for it on Thursday. He cites irreconcilable differences and plans to provide spousal support.

Victoria is Hopper's fifth wife. The two have been married more than 13 years and have a daughter together, 6-year-old Galen. The 73-year-old actor has requested joint legal and physical custody of Galen.

Dennis Hopper’s wife has been accused of trying to kill her actor husband according to TMZ.

The shocking allegation made by Hopper's assistant has been uncovered in court documents, revolving around the 'Easy Rider' actor’s attempt to divorce his wife of 14 years, Victoria.

Hopper’s assistant, Emily Davis, made the claim, but didn’t specify details.

Davis also alleges that everyone in the house was “at the mercy of (her) cruelty” when Hopper was taken to hospital last year for treatment for prostate cancer.

She added, “(Victoria) is a threat to all in the home and has already looted millions of [dollars in] property that is not hers.”

Hopper’s daughter from a previous marriage, Marin, has also added that her stepmother is “frightening”.

Hopper, who has been declared terminally ill, filed for divorce from his wife in January.
