    just joined the club :p

    hope alls well wit everyone... one advantage of no job is
    i've time to join great clubs... like this one!

    anyways i just sweating whilst awaiting the dreaded means tester
    to knock on the door :eek:

    On a more serious note... Does a "means tester" (i.e. an employee of the Department of Social Welfare) really visit an applicants house? Surely not, I thought they read all the documents submitted and then asked you in for an interview if they thought something was fishy.

    for to make sure you is livin there and not tryin to pull a fast one on da dole office... actually called to me years ago wen i was on da dole and t'was straight forward enough... da fella who knocked on da door was sound

    The inspector certainly does call, it was done when I was on JSA.

    And they can check other things like if there are two separate applications pending from single people but it's a one bed apartment. Hmmm....
