    CSPE doesn't need to be studied. It's common sense.

    Maths = Handy
    Irish = Handy
    English = Handy
    French = ?
    History = Grand
    Geography = Handy
    Business = Handy
    Science = Trouble
    Art = ?

    Maths=Keep up with the work, learn theorems and shít as they come, dont put it off

    Irish=Learn vocab etc, I dont really know the story with your JC, I didnt have all this optional oral/less marks for the listening crap! Pay serious attention to grammar, it will stand to you for the LC and you'll pick up marks.

    English=Learn your quotes/poems etc, read novels and stuff yourself (Stuff that isnt on the syllabus, maybe read the newspaper the odd day, it'll help)

    French=Practice the listening, it's very simple at JC level. Learn your vocab, verbs and grammar, not only will it stand to you in the exam but it will make your life easier when it comes to LC.

    History=Learn the mini projects things? I hated history.....

    Geography=Just read the book learn processes like Glaciation, it's quite a simple subject.

    Business=Eurgh, hated business! Learn how to do the accounts NOW, just do it, dont try and catch up in April, get it over with asap.

    Science=I loved science! I did the old syllabus so I doubt I'll be much help with mentioning the investigation, learn definitions, learn diagrams, learn formula, it's a bit of work, but just make sure you understand things (But remember you will have to unlearn most of it if you persue science at LC level (JC chemistry is all lies.........).

    Art=No idea :( Draw a bit?

    Cspe=Put as much effort into the action project as you can, get it done. Read the paper or watch the news, be able to recognise the ministers etc. Maybe read through the book a bit, understand proportional representation, not much else tbh :)

    Best of luck!

    Maths: Basically make sure you know every single topic good enough before you attempt a question on it in the exam papers. Learn your theorems, there really isnt an easy way to do this but apply your common sense and it becomes easy to remember. When you think your ready to do the questions from the papers,give it a go. Really by the time Easter comes all you should be doing is the papers. Do not try complete them before your mocks because you will have no material left to do come May/June. Oh yeah, pay attention in class, its probably the only subject at JC level where you would want to listen to achieve good results.

    Irish: Oh to be honest we (as in the class of 8 or so) did nothing for JC Irish as our teacher was useless to put it fair. So we had the otus of teaching ourselves.I found the Shortcut To Success book excellent for the poetry & pros. However,if you have good notes on your stories and poems no need to buy this book. Revise Wise is excellent for the phrases. As for all the grammar I have no notion as I myself have'nt a clue about grammar. The phrases are what got me my grade,well I think. lol

    English: Really know two poems fairly well, know a theme and character for your novel and for the play a theme and a relationship. You cant really study for paper 1, but reading books and the newspaper will help expand your vocabulary for your essay. A bit of effort will go far in JC english.

    Business: In Business a lot of it is learning the paper. For example, on paper 2 every year, the final accounts comes up, the general ledger and the Credit Note & Invoice question (Q2) anyway. Same goes for Paper one with the Household Budget,Insurance usually comes up and so does banking. So know your paper. For the short questions well they are generally repeated So do as many short questions as you can from the exam papers. They are worth 20 % of your exam and can be the place where the student loses his/her A. My advice is to do as many questions as you can in Business.

    Science: Well Science is a big course. The questions usually are not much different from year to year. Do your exam papers and learn all the answers. Take the experiment write (Coursework B) up seriously, it can be awfully boring but will get your grade from a C to a B or a B to an A.

    French : Learn vocab and phrases thats all really, not much more advice. Train your ear for the aural. Try bring the tenses into your written section. You will be awarded for this.

    History: Learn a good few People in History, about 10-15 if you want. I cannot remember how many I learned. learn the most common ones though, do not go off and learn Shakespeare or someone like that because he will most likely not come up, he might do not take my word. For the artist , learn Albreact Durer, as he can be used for the artist outside Italy during the Renaissance and "An artist during the Renaissance" . For Question 6 know 2- topics fairly well. I knew the Social history and Irish History very well and I did not know a lot about World War 2 or the Superpowers. Do not study what is not needed to be. For question 5 learn the plantations,a revolution or the agricultural revolution or industrial. The documents and pictures are straight forward i think.

    Technology: I know not may schools do this. However, its is hard to get an A, you must do a good project,do not leave out the folder that is also very important,put a lot of effort into the project as the exam isnt very hard but it is challenging. It is usually one of the last exams. I myself did not do much study for it during the year, however I did pick up a lot from the project and I left the last 5 days or so to study for it, as there was a big gap between that and my previous exam.

    Geography: I did not like Geography one but for the JC. I found it very boring. Although it is an exam where it is very easy to do very well in. Practice the Exam Papers throughout the year often. You will not need to do a lot of study for this subject as you will probably be finished the course early 3rd year. Do your homework and you will be fine for this subject.

    CSPE: Well, the exam is simple but its not as simple as you would think to get an A. You will have to spend a bit of time on your action project to get an A. Just do a good action project and you will be fine, the exam is a walk in the park.
