Not going to compete as I would get my ass kicked at the moment, will definitely go to watch though, was some great judo last year!!

And also the IJA are still looking for volunteers to help so I might give them a shout but not sure..

Good luck! I'll be watching the Finnish Open, more than 260 entries from 29 different countries including some big names in the women's categories, so it should be good :D

Good stuff, I'm not sure about country entries but I'm told we've over 250 foreign competitor's entered.

Well I'm looking forward to this, all the hard work is done so now just doing light cardio and some uchikomi for the next few days and hoping to stay injury and swine flu free :)

Its out in City West Hotel.

All the details are on irishjudoassociation.com

Looking like I'll be spectating to now.

I torn my anterior and posterior ligaments in my ankle last night, strapped up and told now to train for six weeks

Damn :( Hopefully the recovery will go well and remember you can still think about and watch judo during this time!

Well might have 'torn' and 'sprained' confused.

I'm gonna go, warm up and make a decision then - and hope the adrenaline kicks in :)

Being a real drama queen at the moment, I'm trained my damned ass off. I've dropped 16kgs and focused 24/7 for the last few months.

Thanks for the sentiments all the same lads.

    So, anyone else going?.

Apparently there's been a record foreign entry for this year so it promises to be a great event for fighter and spectator a like.
