    hello All.

if you find yourself in belgium for a while there is a sim card you can buy that is cheaper than the others by a mile.

It is called ORTEL and can be bought in shops. For ten euro you get a sim and 5 euro credit. Its main saving is that when you ring home to a land line (rather than a mobile) the cost is 12 cent per minute.
To get this rate you need to ring a landline, to call a mobile in ireland is 40 cent, still cheaper than the usual companies.

So, ring home for ten mins costs 1.2 euro.

France has just seen its first similiar card. Not exactly how its spelt ,Mohi so or something.., bit hard to find as yet. 19 cent to a european mobile compared with 60 to 70 from the mainstream French companies, Orange, SFR,Bougytues

The main players , proximus, mobistar and base are up to 65 p for the same call.

    Hope this can help.

    Rugbyman
