No it does'nt. I have a 2007 aura model and it does'nt have an mp3 jack or a 12v outlet. Major pain in the ass. Looking forward to my 10 D mondeo in january.

Well I was asking did the Avensis have it as standard and as he owns the car, I'm pretty sure that is what he bases his information on.

Needless to say it's possible to buy an attachment that will do the job.
    Try eBay or Google.

The 06 onwards facelifed model's stereo cd player reads mp3s but it doesn't have a MP3 aux port.

The facelift 2006 Avensis (the one with the indicators in the wing mirrors) will play discs reorded in either MP3 or WMA format.

If the albums are stored in seperate folders, you can skip folders by either using the 1 and 2 buttons on the front of the stereo. You can also skip albums up or down by holding down on the UP/DOWN buttons on the steering wheel.

Text for track name, artist, track title can be displayed by pressing the DISP button.

If you wish to connect an ipod to a post 2006 Avensis, you can get a Toyota Ipod integration kit. this plugs into the back of the stereo and a lead goes to the glovebox. it charges the ipod and allows you to control the ipod from the stereo in exactly the same way (detailed above) as you would control an MP3 or WMA disc.

The ipod is selected on the stereo by pressing the DISC button, you may switch between an inserted CD and the ipod just by pressing the DISC button or the MODE button on the wheel.

If you're looking at an 03-06 older type Avensis, you can buy an ipod integration for it, but the track names won't show up. instead each folder is numbered as is each track. The same way a 6 disc CD changer would show "Disc 1 Track 12" etc.

Do you have any idea of the price of an Adaption Kit?
