Last project I signed up for here appears to have fallen through, and I can't find a fiddler anywhere.... So...

I play mandolin and guitar, and i'm looking for a guitarist to play with, who's into old time, country, bluegrass, folk, Hank Williams, Townes Van Zandt, to play for fun with, think Doc watson and bill monroe, except we won't be that good.

    I'm 23 and in dublin

I'd be up for a jam... what's your musical background/standard? what do you listen to/play?

Right now I'm in work listenin to REO Speedwagon, a tune called "You can fly"
Seemed appropriate to mention seeing as you asked I thought I'd tell you what track was playin. So it's old time music for sure! I don't like alot of modern bands, went to see Sea Sick Steve and Rodrigo y Gabrellia at marly park when they played. I like fleetwood mac (Both peter green and everthing after) The Animals, Sonny boy willaimson, Three Dog Night, Bread, ZZ Top, Bob Seager, Johhny Cash (Just figured out one of his tunes last night an now im stuck in work....) So I like blues and rocka and bluegrass, lots of finger picking, a lot of different genres but not much new music at all really.

I play guitar as you may have guessed, I try and sing but have only been learing for a few months, I write my own songs mostly. I have a few guitars, I play in standard, open D and open G and have been messing around with DADGAD some. I play with a slide too, I play without a plec but lately I've been toying with the idea that to get some of the sounds you hear in blues and rock you migh have to use a plec.

I'm 25 and have been around guitars since I was 16, been playing seriously for about 6/7 years now so I would like to start doing more and get up onto a stage, talent shows and open mics are good but the venue and crowd can be hit and miss if your gonna play some bluesy stuff.

Sorry for the long reply but I'm in work and trying to waste a bit of time!

Yea I'd love to jam with some one on some blugrass stuff alright, theres a session in a pub in town every thursday night, McGrattans, everybody there just plays what they like personally but I'll be there and we can grab a table in the back or what ever and have a jam or we can set somethin else up. I'll send a PM with my details.
