    ..........This little machine is also hitting our shores now.

    The BMW X1.

    I think this is gonna be a big hit over here, mainly because its priced cheaper than a diesel Audi A4.

    It also looks slightly better than the X3, and possibly the Q5 (although thats more X3 territory).

    Would you buy one over a 1/3 series, or an A4?

    Anyone know if this could be made into a commerical?

    The sdrive18d would prob come in about the mid €20s*

    Rear wheel drive 143bhp would make a nice work vehicle.

    *OTR price = €33980 CO2 = 136g/km

    Sweet and gentle God - but that is one shockingly ugly car.

    “And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

    What exactly is the point of the X1?

    To lift 1-series drivers a few inches higher off the road whilst picking their pockets?

    I'd say that it will be hugely popular with the Santa Fe brigade.

    I like it and would have it over a Kooga, Tiguan, XC 60. The Q5 would be the other option I would look at.

    That thing looks like a nonsense on wheels and it is pointless to own one, so could you please add the another poll option in the voting list? :).

    Here's one in the flesh, spotted outside one of our offices this week;

    It's ok looking. I definitely prefer it to the X3 but that's not saying much.

    I actually like it :eek: Although once people realise it has the same interior space as a 1 Series it will put them off. Excellent pricing though.
