facebook and the past

    a girl i went to school with 12 years ago just added me onto her facebook. ive never spoke to her since school coz she was a horrible person and a total bully, i declined her....but the question is, why do people want to add you after all those years???

    She'd be a different person now i'd assume..

    Because the experience of being bullied was traumatic for you and not for her. You´re still suffering the consequences and she forgotten about it, hence adding you as a friend. You did the right thing declining her, regardless of how much she´s changed.

    she was part of this really clicky group who used to pick on me, even wehn i go back to where im from and i see any of them i just blank them, i wonder do they even know why!

    Maybe she forgot how she treated you?
    Maybe she remembered and wanted to make up for it?
    Make she just remembered your name from somewhere?

    Who knows - from the sounds of it though, you had nothing to lose by declining her so forget about it and move on :)

    Because more FB friends make her look more popular than she is?
    Because she wanted to know what you made of yourself after all those years?
    Because she vaguely remembers you and didn't want to appear rude?

    There are tonnes of reasons, don't let a blast from the past ruin how far you've come OP.

    it actaully felt good declining her, id say she was just being nosey, does that make me sound a bit sad ? :)
