Shouldn't be back on RTÉ by now, we are now 5 or 6 episodes behind the US wheras last year we were the 2nd country outside the US to have it! Is it a case of expensive US TV shows being given the chop to pay for Pat Kenny's salary?

I think the main reason RTE2 are in no hurry to show it at mo is cause C4/E4 havent indicated they'll be screening new season anytime soon therefore RTE are Being smart to the viewers thus will prob hold off til January to begin this run.

If only C4/E4 Announced a mid November return,i bet RTE would miraculously start it before them!!

Did RTE have to take breaks in coverage, due to ABC not showing fresh episodes every week (as pretty much all shows in the US are aired)? If they did, they may have found that the ratings dipped after the breaks as Irish viewers aren't used to receiving their TV this way, and decided to broadcast the show in one go. If so, I'd guess it won't restart til January.

This. RTE will wait until they have enough episodes backed up so they can show it uninterrupted to the end of the season. They used to do this with ER.

Yeah watching it last year was a pain in the neck with the writers strike and all, there was often 4 to 6 weeks between episodes and I had half forgotten the plot by then!
