Red bull Road rage DownHill Road Race

    Have any of you guys heard of the Red Bull Road rage? It's a Downhill Road race and these guys go at Crazy speed ...

    A buddy of mine who also came on a few boards spins last year came 2nd in the last competition in Switzerland.
    Also took part Frédéric Moncassin, for those who remember ... a former pro roadie for Crédit Agricole.

    Some might know him as 'banana pants'. Also a Bray wheeler. he had finished 6th in a previous event covered by Spoke.ie. The boardsies who saw him descend can probably confirm this man is nuts ...

    Balls of steel that guy, balls of steel. The footage shot in the wet looks terrifying, and Jan had the fastest time in the wet.

    Hi guys, banana pants here! :P

    Spoke.ie and irishdh.com will also be posting something in the next few days, so keep an eye out there too.

    You can spot me @0:34/2:20 starting first 1/8 final heat (in gold, as fastest qualifer on right hand side) & again @1:47/2:20 in the 1/4 finals coming around the outside from third to take the win and knock both the German (2009) and Swiss (2008) Road Rage edition winners out of the competition. We are all travelling at around 90km/h+ at that stage. :eek:

    I used my Litespeed Ultimate in France in September, but had to pull out my hacker (Airborne Zeppelin) for Switzerland, as my Litespeed is temporarily out of action.

    I love how he just gets up and goes again. Do you use any body armour, or are you protected by a shield of pure testosterone?

    Full body armour (impact chest pad, dorsal protector and elbow/arm/shoulder hard shell pads), crash pants, shin/knee protectors, kevlar reinforced full leather motorbike race gloves and a full face helmet. Have not been tested yet, touch wood.
