May be connected to this, I'll open the back up and look.

I have a Zanussi TC7102W and when I plug it into the wall the little light comes on but when I press the Start button the machine does not start, the light gets a little brighter during holding the button but that's it, no humming or any other noises.
I unplugged it again from the wall thinking there may be some automatic fuse in there that needed to reset itself but next day same problem.
Also tried to push the drum around a bit in case it was stuck somehow but that didn't help either.

Just so you can see which one it is:

Panic over. The clue was in the word Condenser.
After another inspection it turns out the water tank was full :)
