I have made the mistake before of buying based on aesthetics, and not on the best technology for the price. I am now making an attempt at learning my lesson by doing some research beforehand, and am looking for some advice on the best 37" TV - budget of max E900.

Any suggestions or comments gratefully received!

I have made the mistake before of buying based on aesthetics, and not on the best technology for the price.

Euuuuuuuuuuuu! I'm firmly in the form over function camp, because I have no interest in having some fancy circuit board in a crappy block stuck in a corner. Besides there is now a vast amount of technology duplication between source (eg player) and sink (screen), that one can easily compromise on some technology in one device for another.

One example is having 5 HDMI inputs on the TV and 5 on the AVR...

But with a budget of 900, there are many many tv's you can buy, so you might want to give some idea of what features you are looking for or have compromised on before and want to rectify.

    Hi
I usually check out tv reviews on Whathifi.com and they have a best buy section thats informative. RicherSounds have a thread here and are always very competetive on prices. Worth checking both of them out to help make up your mind.:)

Check out the richer sounds.ie forum for great offers and advice. John McDonald put up a Sony KDL40Z4500 for 999.99eu which is a steal for a great LCD. Have a look and contact John or Ash they won't put you wrong.
