    Any help on this?

I just rang o2 there (i've done my year with them) as I want to give my old iphone to my missus and upgrade myself to a 3GS.
They said that'd be cool but they wouldn't give me the unlock codes for the old iphone, they said that they've never got the codes to do this.
bar jailbreaking the old phone, is there anywhere anyone would recommend unlocking an iphone?

I wouldn't getting reccommend getting someone else to do it as they are easy enough to do yourself.

I think alot of them Chinese phones shops on Moore St. unlock the iphone.

i can jailbreak any iphone/ipod touch regarding the software, but i can do unlocking only on 3.0 softwares. I'm not sure, but i think that on the first generation on iphones the 2G, unlocking might work even on 3.2, because they've stop upgrading the baseband since 2.2 software.

Can't be done unless O2 or Apple give you an unlock code. You need to jailbreak first, then unlock
