USB port on Sky Box?!

    Can anyone tell me what the usb port is for on the sky box?

    It's for the 'future'. At the moment it does nothing except charge your iPod/iPhone or any other device that can be charged via USB. +5VDC is all it supplies at the moment.

    My Sky+ box has no voltage coming out of the USB ports, seems not all Sky+ boxes have power in USB ports. Similarly for the Sky+HD boxes.

    Also, Sky Italia have found a use for the USB port - to add a DTT dongle, to allow some RAI channels back on their platform!
