    Hey Guys

I am looking to team up with a songwriter. It is to do something new, something that doesn't necessarily work but the thing is, if i find the right person, it will.

I currently produce my own music and i am collaborating with other artists at the moment. The genre and style of music is influenced by Bjork, Radiohead, Telefon Tel Aviv, Grouper, Fever Ray. My earlier influences are techno and IDM. I like all original music, and mostly listen to experimental electronica, which is also what I make.

It seems from pervious attempts to meet with people, either I am looking in the wrong place or for the wrong thing. Instead of compromising and doing something that is the same as everyone else and join another lovely covers band, I have never been more sure that I am doing the right thing by continuing to search. If I have to move cities and go somewhere else to find
that I will. That's why I am here now.

There is something about the power of a voice and carefully crafted words that is missing from what I do at the moment. I am not looking for an experimental songwriter, interested in persuing something different. I make music, sound, record, design, shape, play. I am not a lead performer. I am not a singer, I am not a songwriter. I don't have the charisma to take centre stage but I do have the knowledge and the will to get this working.

I am interested in persueing something like this:

I am looking for serious musicians only please.

    Thank you

    Rich

    @88show: Thank you.

@salsalady: I really don't think this is what your looking for, if your myspace is your musical manifesto then its in a radically different direction to the one where I am going right now.

    Hi there, you still looking?

This sounds interesting. I think if I was involved in something like what you seem to be planning, I would like to do vocals of some sort. I also play guitar and I've been making a bit of electronic music for the past 2 or 3 years, no particular type, just go through different phases really. I had some tracks up on myspace, but no longer. I'm living in North Co. Wicklow. Like the vids you posted, though I noticed they had mostly female vocalists, and i'm a guy(26). So pm me if you want. Otherwise good luck with this!

    Hi there,

I am a female vocalist who writes her own songs/likes to experiment with Garageband and produce something unique to covers. Yep, I share your enthusiasm.

Hi Rich, I'm an experimental songwriter/multi-instrumentalist based in Limerick. I don't have much experience with electronica but have been interested in it recently.

    Here's a recent piece of mine http://www.lightningmp3.com/live/51736-AttheEdgeoftheWorld.mp3

    hi there

    bought the strat from you

    listened to your stuff

own pop stuff is like this:

    http://www.totallyfuzzy.net/ourtube/bennys-head/harry-dean-stanton-video_a8a0616ad.html

however, do other stuff too which i cant link ujp to becasue it isnt online. its nothing at all like this pop stuff

wouldnt mind doing a bit of collaboration (distance obvioulsy all things considered..hope berlin goes well for you

currently cosnidering an idea: chet baker, the trumpet player, dont know if you know him, made music that , to me anyway, explored his silences, his blues.

idea for piece would be to explore 'silence' by amplifying it and then relating the resultant 'music' to the idea that all our silences are thronged with noise, emotions, ideas and so on, its just a case of bringing them out 'into the sunlight' (dismissing the whole idea of silence in the process). but need music first and then can add lyrics/text

what do you think? cant do it here because i dont have the gear to help make such a slight piece (where silence gives up its sounds in the 'slightest' of ways)

(sounds pretentious but it wouldnt be in the end lol!

drop a line if you want to take things up

Well this certainly looks interesting. Fever Ray is my album of the year anyway, "Keep the streets empty for me" captures that silence through sound sort of thing you were on about. Really like Grouper as well and been listening to a lot of, I'm **** with genres but dancey stuff lately - Dj Shadow, Dj/rupture, luomo, that sort of thing. Not sure if I oculd bring what you're looking for but I'd definitely be interested in giving it a bash
