Trying to get into a jammed glovebox

    The glove compartment in my volvo S40 has jammed and I can't open it.

    Any ideas of a good place to bring it to get it opened without breaking the box beyond repair? i.e. I want to be able to get it fixed.
    Obviously I could just foce it open with a crowbar but I don't want to break it altogether. Cheers.

    open the door, the side panel of the dash should pop off. You night be able to stick a ruler in there or something and maybe pop open the lock. Did it before on a corolla with one of those metal rulers. Found a sandwich in there...ugh...

    try posting here as i have found them very good in the past when the glovebox on my 850 stuck solid.
