Ford Focus Van - 1.6tdci

    Hello,

    I am looking at buying a ford focus commercial 1.6tdci.

    I'm hoping to get the newer model which came out in 2005.

    Has anyone any advice on what to look out for with this van? Any known faults as such?

    I had a car version of this van for two years and the only problem I had was with the rear boot lock. As with any car or car van look for tell tail signs of abuse ie. rough bodywork, worn gearbox, clutch, suspension, etc. Also make sure the car runs ok with no leaking fluids. Get a mechanic to check it out too.

    I've heard of turbo problems with the 1.6 TDCi (PSA HDi) but I've had no experience of this and I'm on my second car with that engine.
