Importing a WE AWSS M4A1 AFC to Ireland

Advice needed. I've managed to get my mits on a brand new RA Tech NPAS kit for downgrading a WE AWSS M4A1 AFC to 1 Joule.

My question is how do I import one into Ireland as it runs over 1 Joule stock? I have identified two retailers in Europe (1 in the UK and 1 in Germany) who have what I'm looking for. Do I need to get them to fit the NPAS and downgrade it abroad and then import, can I get an irish dealer (I'm not sure any irish dealers stock em) to import it and downgrade it, or can I import it and downgrade it myself?

    Any advice muchos appreciated.

    Thanks

    James

the device has to be <1j when it is imported and goes thought customs

i know a number of shops that will fit the npas before shipping but does not help you if you have alreayd brought the npas system

Can some shops not import airsoft devices over 1joule?

    Cheers Puding

That's what I thought. The UK guys said that they would install it for me if I supplied it to them. They told me that they were having extreme difficulty in getting their hands on a NPAS and if I could source one quicker they'd install it.

You're right, some can. I remember reading that MIA's owner has a firearms liscense as well, so can import and downgrade. I'm not 100%, but I remember reading it in the IAA correspondance

having a fire arms license does not mean you can import >1j aegs, airsoft device can not qualify as firearms for the purposes of a license for the simple reason they do not have serial number ( there are a lot of others but we will keep it simple)

there is new licensing for airsoft retailers coming into force but again this is separate from firearms and the devices would still need to be <1j im shore the iaa can confirm this for you

Cheers for clarification Pud. I just remembered reading that the airsoft device in question was able to be imported because of the aforementioned lisence

snip - fell for it and almost feed the troll will not even dignify your attempt to cause trouble

if you would like to stalk me a little more you will find more information regarding this privately purchased airsoft device and the reason i know the stock power, so i do not see how that is connected to a discussion on boards in regard to shops importing >1j airsoft devices

If i buy something *myself * (e.g personally and nothing to do with a shop ) from inside europe and request and pay for a downgrade and the shop i purchase said it from does not downgrade the item, unfortunately i do not know about this until it turns up on my door step.

The thread on arnies was regard to stock power, something i was able to obtain when i test my new personally purchased svd and discovered the previously mentioned downgrade had not been carryed out, so please do not take things out of context, i have mentioned before in some of my reviews about downgrades not being carried out or nor being carried out correctly by the retailer

This thread and the questions asked where in regard to shop being able to import >1j aeg, my post on another forum have no bearing on that, and again your reason for posting appears to be nothing more than trolling.

oh sorry you privately imported a illegal gun, sorry i thought you did it as a shop?
i was no stalikn yuo, i jus saw your post on Arnies and thought it was ironic.

    that is all.

If your going to copy and past a post i chose to delete 3 or 4 hours ago (i do find it strange that you choice to keep that post and pull it out know if your only issue was you found the post 'ironic' , by the way do you have the other 3 or 4 version i did on a word document anywhere i seem to have misplaced them myself), please do it correctly and not jumble it up with your own comments.
