Golf Mk iv service & timing belt question

    Have a 03 1.4 Golf mk iv - 28k miles on it

EPC light came on the other day so got it booked in to have diagnostic done on it today. Read up on it and most info points to a break light switch failure usually.

Figured timing belt needs to be replaced as that hasn't been done yet.

Quoted 300 for timing belt and brake light switch replacement. Anyone know if that is good quote or not?? Thanks in advance

Make sure the timing belt quote is for tensioners and water pump also. If it is it sounds very reasonable

What are you doing getting the timing belt changed after 28k miles?
