The top prize on the new lotto game "All or nothing", that is.

    www.lotto.ie/Prizes-and-Results/All-Or-Nothing/

Flicked through the results of every draw since the game's inception and noticed that nobody has yet matched all 12 numbers, or failed to match any.

If players of the game heard this they might be convinced to, eh, stop.

Probably not. People know the odds are miniscule but play anyway, look on it as a tax on the foolish.

The regular Lotto odds are about 14 million to one against and you have people playing that every week.

Where do you get this figure from? The correct odds are 4072530 to 1. To reach this figure calculate 45C6 and divide by 2.

The odds on winning the all-or-Nothing jackpot are 1352078 to 1.

€5,000 to match 11 numbers, €25.00 for 10.....wow.....time for early retirement.

I'd love to know how many sheeple are playing it weekly. Anyone know where you could find that out?

While I have no interest in wasting my money on the All Or Nothing lotto thingy, I see it as being no worse than those who spends loads every week on ciggies or booze.

I'm I seeing things or does one of the results say Match 0 for 500,000? So assuming someone dosen't match any of the numbers they get 500,000euro?

Either way it's no more better then the regular lotto. It's a waste of time and money, and you're better off just gambling you're money at a Paddypower.

Oh I get it, you went baaaaaaah so I must be a sheep. How clever of you.

I see you had to edit your post as you were not quite clever enough to spell baaaaaaah. I don't think I would have as much trouble spelling the word wanker.

If it's a scientific calculator it can do it. It may be labelled differently.

All or nothing. Odds of getting all 12 or getting 0 is the same.

Better odds of winning this than the regular lotto. Don't play either though.

    hence the smaller prize

    its all about the maths.
if they did this with the same amount of balls as the main draw their would be tons of winners

No.1 - It's nothing to do with the government
No.2 - Alot of the money goes to charity.
    No.3 - It's voluntary.
    No.4 - People win.

Live a little, buy a 2 euro ticket and daydream for an hour about what you'd do if you won.
