Install Windows 7 on HP Laptop

    Hi,

    I have a HP DV9000 series laptop & I have a copy of Windows 7 Home edition.

Also, XP was preloaded on the laptop & I created Master CDs, which I have lost over the years!!

I want to do a full clean install of Windows 7 on the laptop, which Im presuming means backing up all files & formatting the drives.

My worry is the possibility of losing functionality for a lot of the hardware that HP have built into the laptop (webcam/HP Quicklaunch hotkeys etc etc).

I'm not au fait with doing this so any advice/guidance will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance
