hi everyone. i applied for my grant in august 2009. I didnt hear anything back from them so i decided to ring them. When i spoke to one of the women working in the office about my application, they told me they dont have anything on file with my name on it. They told me i need to ring the vec centre. I rang them, and they confirmed they have nothing relating to me at all on either level 7 or level 8 system.
i handed my application in in person rather than posting as its not too far from my house.
I dont know what to do now as i cant spend the next few weeks chasing every document again which i need to send in for my grant application.

basically, they lost it! its going to take me weeks to reapply. i cant afford to stay in college much longer. im a mature student independant from my parents for a long time now, and they dont have the funds to keep me in college. i have no savings as i had to pay my registration fee as i hadnt heard anything from the grant when the college asked for it to be paid.

    someone help!

That's crazy! Your college should have a stuent assistance fund you could apply for, - contact the welfare officer. or could you take out a loan while you wait for this mess to be sorted

    That is ridiculous.

You actually handed it in which means it's there somewhere but they just couldn't be arsed getting off the computer and actually going looking for it. Threaten them with legal action as your personal details are all on it, including personal documents with your account numbers etc... This could be used in fraud etc...

Do not just sit back and take it. God this makes me so angry, it's ridiculous!
