FNL season 4 starts tonight stateside. Doesn't seem to get much love around these parts but surely there's got to be some excitement brewing.

I do like the show but a lot of rubbish mixed in with the good. The town school split should be an interesting storyline but not sure how many seasons this has left. There has to be a lot of new characters coming in this year surely so we'll see how they develop. Looking forward to it.

    Really? What rubbish?

The season 2 Landry story was the only mistake the show runners have made in 3 seasons. I think they've handled everything else immensely well.

Hope the high standard continues during the coming season.

I guess this comes down to personal opinion and taste. I found a lot of the storylines boring and distracting and going nowhere.

You must obviously be a massive fan if you say the landry story was the only mistake they made but its personal taste and you might have found something in storylines I didn't really enjoy.

the vast majority of screen time with street is just boring and a waste like the writers don't know what to do with him. Maybe its just the fact that I disliked the actor who played him but his whole storyline was painful.

the whole smash noelle thing, lyla christian radio etc, tyra and the rodeo cowboy

did you notice santiago has disappeared without explanation

I like the show but its wrong to say (in my opinion) that the terrible murder storyline was the only mistake.

Its a great underrated show - what network is showing it now?

I usually just get all the season together and watch all at once

Direct TV and NBC struck a deaL, TWO MORE SEASONS. 13 eps. per season....

    Have watched all three seasons.
After season 1 I couldn't wait to watch season 2 and was searching Amazon for boxsets

But by the end of Season 3 it was getting boring and I though the series was dragging on

I realy wasn't expecting season 4 or 5, I thought it was finished for good.
I'll give it a chance for sure

Possibly because of the writers strike. It is strange how they never mentioned him again but so much time went by (about 9 months) that they probably didn't see a need.

    Enjoying Season 4 so far

I miss Minka and yer blonde one....the hotties made folk tune in. Not a FNL fan per se, only seen a few eps. - started watching season 4....Kyle Chandler is excellent as is Connie Britton, Ms. Teargarden i remember from 90210.....s'ok show.

Loving this season but I have a real fondness for this show anyway.

I saw sporadic eps. over the seasons, but not "watched" it per se, started to watch S4 proper....i'm now starting off with S1 DVD, it's a quality well written/acted show. Kyle Chandler was made for the role.

Gonna watch the other seasons as well....Minka Kelly is just the most beautiful girl!, btw....season 4 ep. 5 is *just* out, hiatus last week.

So, i have now watch all three seasons complete + all of season 4....i never gave the show a real chance, i did on occasion catch an ep. or two on TV3. But i have to say i am impressed with the acting and quality of writing.

It's grabbed my attention now and look forward to keeping up with it.

Is anyone keeping up with the current season?...it's been very enjoyable thu far, better then season 3 for sure.

My cousins have been sending it over but I haven't watched any yet. I love this show, acting is high quality but I prefer to watch all in one go so you'll have to wait another few weeks to get my opinions:D

Shaping up to be an excellent end to the season.

Very impressed with this season, just wish they had more episodes, so much is crammed in/glossed over.

Latest ep. was excellent....i do agree hey pack alot of plot into each ep. - as SMB said the finale next week should be ace!

    When is season 5 starting?

Zach Gilford who is poised to make what could be his final FNL appearance in next Wednesday’s Season 4 finale
    :(

It's been fanatastic. Season finale should be great. Especially if they stick it to the Panthers.

Episode 5 - The Son was one of the finest hours of TV ever. If Gilford isn't nominated for an emmy they will never be valid again

really enjoying this season...its coming to a nice end...i could watch Kyle Chandler all day!! ;) but he is made for the coach Taylor role! love the chemistry between him and Tammie

i hate how so much is crammed in together alright!!

Totally agree with jamc with The Son - class episode and acting

I'd prefer a definite ending to sudden cancellation. Plus most of the original cast are nearly on their way out so it fits.

On the Season 4 finale (which took the cousins ages to give me )
Riggins Nooo! Saw it coming a few eps back but still it was a suckerpunch.
Lions win Hollywood style :D It was a bit overdramatic but when I think back over the season, Coach Taylor's skill has shone through and he's managed to drill a team of average talent into a mean machine. Throw in some genuine class like Luke & Vince and a disorganised Panthers with JD losing the plot and a Lions win is fairly plausible.

    Watching season 4 finale tonight

    Theme tune always gets me

Kyle Chandler should run for president (Connie Britton would make an excellent first lady...)

    Clear eyes, full hearts gentlemen

Twas an excellent season finale, Riggins....the man has honour, took the bullet. Landry....bless him, he can never get the girl!

They start filming season 5 in March and wraps up in June, i'm sure Britton and Chandler will get lots of work offers.

Landry is gone, Minka, Adrienne, The Smash, the guy dating coaches daughter.....basically the wholw younger cast is gone.

    Britton/Chandler and Teegarden left...i think.

I'd imagine that Aimee Teegarden will be gone for the final season too. Maybe with a few guest appearances, but she should be gone off to college.

^ they set it up that he goes to work for Habiat For Humanity, she'll be leaving as well i'd say. FNL returns to mainstream tv on April 30th....as in showing S4 on NBC.
