    Hi guys,
what's the best options on getting from Cork to Rosslare in time for the 8pm sailings on a Thursday evening. From what I can see, it's a bus around 2pm from Cork, is there any better alternatives.
I could drive and park at the port, but while I'd leave the car there for a day trip, I don't fancy leaving it there for 3 or 4 days.

    Thanks
    B

I find it sad that it takes in the region of 5 hours to commute by public transport from Cork to Rosslare, a distance I calculate at roughly 150 kilometres.

I'm planning on going to London by public transport, if possible for this trip. (sail+rail from Rosslare)
it's a bit annoying that it takes so long on this side of the water, it's almost 15hr trip from Cork to London by this rate.

Is there a reason why you have opted not to fly?

    Hi Munchkin,
I'm doing rail sail, but getting to Rosslare without going through Dublin from Cork has been the issue.

Can't be bothered with all the hassle of carry on luggage, airport security, and I've driven and flown to London so many times at this stage, I fancy a change.

Eurolines is the only real option I think.5 hours plus by train is ludicrus.

I find it sad that you didn't bother checking the actual alternatives before posting an ignorant remark - 4 hours by Bus Eireann vs 3 hours according to AA routeplanner for a 197km journey.
