Hi Guys I used to do a lot of 1/72 scale modelling a few years ago I have recently got back into building models and would like to give wargaming gaming a go but first I would like to build some models for it.I was wondering if there are any wargaming shops in Ireland preferably with a good online site as I used to get most of my 1/72 models online in the past and found it very handy. I would especially be interested in historical stuff as I already have quite a bit of 1/76 and 1/72 armour that I could use. What options are out there.

I'd recommend Gamers World, in dublin as your first port of call, but seeing as how you fancy a bit of online excitement, Maelstrom Games are a great site, fairly cheap too compared to some of the others.

Then there's wayland games, og games, heresy miniatures etc.

For historical wargaming, the flavour of the year seems to be Flames of War. Models are decent, rules seem to be good, fairly cheap too and a lot less nerdy than having a full goblin army on a shelf.

But then again it depends on your preferred era.

    Hope this helps.

Check out this new online shop www.thehobbden.com they are based in Kildare and carry a lot of what you are looking for and their shipping is very reasonable.I found them really fast and good to deal with.

I placed an order with them last week had the stuff on monday very fast and reliable service. Ordered some of the Army painter sprays they work really well great coverage and no loss of detail (I really like the matt varnish) at 2/3 the price of the GW sprays I think these are a bit of a find.Has anyone tried the army painter dips I have to say I am tempted especially as the guys in the hobby den can order it in for me.If the dips work as well as the sprays then they will definately be worth a try any feed back from someone that has used them would be appreciated.

All base painted in flat colours with Army Painter 'Strong' shade applied over them.

A second vote for The Hobby Den, had several orders from them - Top service.
