Do you want to organize a physical church blessing?
You can buy papal blessings in Veritas in Dublin. They do papal blessings for anniversaries.

yep the idea is to organise a church blessing then a meal afterwards for about 30-40

how about contacting the local priest to see if he can say Mass on the evening of the anniversary, then all head off for a meal. if there is no evening mass in your local church, then try for the morning mass and head for lunch. Don't forget to invite the priest to the meal and go to him in plenty of time, lest he have another booking for that date.

another idea, might be to go back to church where they were married for the mass. That might be problematic if it is a good distance from where you all now live or if they have had little contact with that church since the wedding.

hey james thanks for the info, shouldnt be too much hassle to organise goin to the same church, they still live in the same town, going to pop into the parish office during the week and ask there advice. will probably go for a morning mass if we can my grandad isnt in the best of health so a late meal and that wouldnt really be suitable
