    Hi guys,
less than 4 weeks ago i forked out over 300euro to get the altanator in my car reconditioned and a new battery from advanced pistop in dundalk. Today the cars dead again except im at home in dublin. I'm wondering am i entitled to ask the closest branch of the company to come to my house and fix the car for free as its dead as a dodo and cant be started and the fact that the battery came with a 2 year warranty?
id appreciate any advice before i ring them in the morning.
    THanks a million

Did Advance fix the alternator? Didn't think they did that sort of thing.

Alot of them do - sure I got a timing belt done in the Dundrum one. They have an auld lad doing the mechanical work and the young'un doing the tyres.

OP - what did they say they fixed on the receipt. Give them a ring and explain the situation, they have no obligation to come to your house.

There's nothing to say its the same problem at all.

    What car is it?

Do you have any aftermarket electronics fitted? eg car kit, ipod adapter, stereo???

What was the problem before the battery/alternator were replaced 4 weeks ago?

    hi guys,
the prob before was that the alinator needed reconditioning and a new battery was installed. This work is documented on the receipt. There are no extra electric componets on the car. Its a bora tdi 2002. The reason why i think its the same problem is that it is the exact same incidents occuring as the previous time... battery light flashing on dash, power being lost on dash board lights, wipers slowing right down etc...
tbh its a nightmare as i forked out over 300euro to get it fixed only 3 weeks ago.

could be as simple as a loose connection on battery or the back of the alternator...
