As I said above I need to paint the en-suite bathroom. Some portion of the walls has got mildew on it, nothing too bad but still a discolouring of the walls and it looks unsightly. This is due to the fact that it has no window and only a crappy fan.

So, can i just give it a quick wipe of a wet cloth and paint over or do i need to do something else.

    Cheers

Sugar soap and then a good primmer ask a paint shop and they will tell you

50/50 Bleach/Water solution to kill the mildew, rinse off well, then wash with sugarsoap. N.B. Don't forget the gloves.
Then prime and paint. You need to solve the cause of the problem - most likely bad ventilation, otherwise the mildew will just grow back again on the re-decorated surface.
