    hows it going

I have a problem with my Peugeot 406 with water getting into the boot. Does anyone know if the seals need to be replaced?or does anyone have a similar problem and knows how to fix it...

any help would be great cheers!

The first thing you need to do is to find out exactly where it's coming in. Could be the boot seal, or the rear screen, or the rear light clusters.

Thanks, hadnt thought of the rear light clusters. What do you mean the rear screen. Do you think water is getting in through the rear windscreen? During heavy rain the floor gets soggy and soaks up to leave the seats feeling damp.

On a dry day when you have the whole area dry do the "kettle test" or "hose test" (very scientific).

Spray the area or pour water all around the edges of the boot (including light clusters). Systematically check for water droplets as you test each area. It is tedious but you will fine the culprit eventually.
