Problems with gmail and hotmail on wavelan?

I cant seem to load either my gmail or hotmail on the Wavelan in the library, anyone else have this problem? It keeps timing out.

Was having trouble with the internet myself in ucd today. Think it was something to do with the proxy, only the ucd site would work.
Although gmail was working when ever the internet decided to work.

Yep, i could connect to the network in the library but couldn't connect to the internet...
