Anybody seen the offers in Lidl this week? Probably nothing of interest to most here, though there's a dynamic mic on a tabletop tripod for podcaasts etc and a small PA

The PA has a Class D amp! Interesting. I wonder if it sounds any good?

I'm buying all the percussion sets anyways. And tunable bongos for twenty bills? Yes please!

does the electronic drum kit look any good??

trying to program drum beats with EZ drummer and a Korg Nanopad but finding it really hard!!

If you've never used an acoustic kit, they're grand. It's the same as the Thomann kit, so make sure that's not actually cheaper than Lidl!! Have you tried programming beats on a weighted keyboard? Personally I prefer that.

    +1

Better than my MPD16, better than semi-weighted or synth action, less work than drawing everything on a piano roll.

cheers for the tip... haven't tried programming them on a weighted keyboard as i don't own one... was using the nanopad and everything was out of time...pretty hard to line it up time wise correctly..
have tried to use the grooves in EZ drummer but i can't get the timing 100% either :(

maybe its my tempo..... don't completely know how to use a metronome (sp?) when recording the songs

Right. Technology won't help there. Music lessons will! :)

Might be. Playing to click is quite hard. There are certain exercises that may improve your timing, but, well, I improved mine from "hopelessly hopeless" to just "hopeless". Still, it's better.

Each beat in a bar is a click, drum beats are usually organised in 16ths of a second whether you know that or not.

Its just what to put in between each 4/16 of a bar(I.e. each click) thats hard. Some people have a great sense of rhythm naturally and some people need to learn.
