    Hi Guys,

Am having trouble deciding on best setup for a new office.

We had 2 geo Blueface numbers that we use on a daily basis.

We moved into a new office but it doesnt have internet. We are looking at getting internet into the office but most seem to have phone lines as standard.

Now do we go with an PBX and work the phone off that?
Do we go with standard phone lines as standard because it would cost €85 per month for BB + blueface.
Do we just get a standalone package BB package?
    Do we do something else?

    Please help!

    Regards,

    Kanky

Do you have non-phoneline BB available to you in the new location?

The best option at the moment is UPC package with 2 lines as standard.

So rather than paying 35 euro + call credit to blueface I think I will just go with the 2 UPC lines.

Is there a way I can still use my 2 linksys spa941 phones with this? Will a PBX cover it?

    Thanks.

Do two geo numbers cost €35 p.m. from Blueface? I have one geo number from them and my cost (incl. VAT) is €5 p.m.

Call credit, just like your own case is of course additional.

So I'd double check your costings. But if you do want to sell your 941, I'm sure I could assist with a quick sale. :)

As far as I am aware paying the monthly ~10 eu for call credit on the yearly plan gives the geo number free with Blueface.
A geo number without any plan is ~10 eu per month also.

I would compare call costs between UPC and Blueface also.
I did that between Eircom VOIP and Blueface ..... and am with Blueface :D
Do we go with standard phone lines as standard because it would cost €85 per month for BB + blueface.

If by standard phone lines you mean from Eircom then they alone will cost about €50 per month.

Phone lines from UPC are VOIP lines IIUC.

Separate the cost of the VOIP phone/s from your BB (which you have to have) and make your decision on call costs and line cost between UPC and Blueface.
I would be surprised to learn that UPC are cheaper than BF.

    regards.

I have since gotten in contact with UPC and they are not in this area.

So I made contact with vodafone, the are offering a 3mb line with free local and national calls, line rental & 500 mins to any vodafone mobile for 49 euro per month. Thats with a fixed installed line!

Is there any way I can use the Linksys phones with an analogue line or does it have to be ISDN or higher?

This package by my reckoning is much cheaper than BB + Business Blueface package?

If you have to have a PSTN line then the all Ireland call package (up to 50mins each) is cheaper than using VOIP.

You can also use VOIP over the BB on that line for calls that would be costly with the tel provider ..... like calls to international destinations.

A simple PAYG VOIP account with no geo number would suffice if one phone line is all is needed.
If you require more lines then using Blueface and a geo number is cheaper than a second landline, by a long way.

You really need to define exactly what you need and what BB is available to you before anyone can advise properly.

Your BB connection and its use is going to determine how many VOIP calls it can handle.

    regards.
