    Hi Everyone,

    I would just like to know if anyone has had their wedding reception in the Talbot Hotel,Carlow.We are getting married in october 2011 and would like some feedback on it.Was their service up to standard and was your day the experience you wanted.We are hoping to have roughly 120 guests.We went down the weekend to have a look and we were very impressed with the room and the staff were very helpful.Great value at 39 euro pp with all the usual things included even the bar extension.We are thinking of putting a deposit down but would really like some info from people who have had there reception there or have attended a wedding there...

    Hi,

    I've worked there in the past and we looked at it as a venue for our own wedding.

    The food, service etc will all fine.

    BUT the location in the middle of a retail park didn't do it for us. There are no places for pictures and after the meal if you go outside i think your looking at a bowling alley.

    Just my thoughts...........
