    Ok
First off this is just a general opinion and i've no background in science (except Lcert physics)...but...
I've had a chesty cough so tried a few of those sugary expectorant syrups that are supposed to 'loosen' it up.. if you know what i mean..

    Didnt do jack ..

So I put on the coffee pot and the problem cleared in a few hours... I also find this with a lot of garlic too...

Has anyone ever tried this 'method' to clear the lungs?

Caffeine is a xanthine compound and has a mild bronchodilator (opens the airways) effect, but it is not a decongestant.
