accepted for medical card but not recieed

    Hi ,
    I got accepted for the medical card but as of yet have not recieved it.Does anyone know if I can claim against it or do i physically have to have the card.

    I have its number its expiry date etc,

    pretty sure you need only bring the letter in to your GP.

    It might take a couple of weeks from you get your acceptance letter until you get card. If your waiting longer than this I would contact them. Until then you can use the acceptance letter which has the number on it.

    Your approval letter will have your medical card number on it. just pass that on to your GP for their files.

    Your card will arrive within a week or two.
