Hi... has anyone bought any running gear from this website? I want to invest in good Asics runners for my (fledgling) running career and these seem to have the best prices, but I'm just wondering if they are reliable? Thanks (and congrats to all who ran the marathon yesterday. Contemplating it for next year!).

Wouldnt recommend them. Had a bit of a saga with them. Bought a couple of pairs of runners. Returned one to change size and after a couple of weeks I rang to inquire as I hadnt received the replacements. Was told that the shoes were received but they were out of the size I needed.

I rang a couple of weeks later and was told that there was no record of any transaction with them. The eventually admitted that there had been a transaction but now claimed they had never received the returned shoes!

Anyway, about 3 months and several expensive phone calls later I eventually got my runners.

Some of the people i dealt with were helpful but some were quite snotty and more than once I felt my honesty was being called into question.

If you cant get them locally then dont use them, would be my advice.

Okay, thanks for that. The fact that I couldn't find an address on their website was making me a bit suspicious anyway, TBH. Looks like I'll have to get ripped off in a bricks & mortar shop instead!

There are a few other online stores that are giving good value www.trisports.ie and have great value on all runners and there is also www.runireland.com (both were at the Dublin Marathon expo over the weekend). The one thing, from my experience, is that they both charge for shipping.

Then there is the online shops that are associated with the stores www.johnbuckleysports.com, www.amphibianking.ie, etc ... so plenty options there also ...
