Missing Materials?

    I am coming to the end of my build and have supplied all materials to date, but plasterer supplied the cozy boards for slabbing the walls. Originally I was told that 160 were required and got quotes for them, unfortunately my local building supplier went bust and I was not able to get them, so he said he would match that quote by going to the local supplier from his town.

    I've done a count of the boards on the walls and I am only counting 127. If I then allow for 10% waste it would be 140 boards. Or 20% waste would be 153 boards, so I am missing either 20 or 7 boards depending on the degree of waste.

    I assume I am more than within my rights to ask him to give me a full count of the boards used and show me dockets to that effect. I have photographed all the walls prior to him skimming. I also photogrpahed all the waste on the site and there was only around 5 boards worth of waste there.

    I always knew tradesmaen took a little cut ontop of materials but this seems excessive.

    Any advice?
