Guitarist looking to start Dublin 4/5piece

Hey, I'm looking to start up a 4/5 piece band in dublin. I'm based in the southside have been playing guitar for 8 years. Played in a few jam bands that never went anywere and am hoping to set up a working band with Reliable like minded people who dont mind putting in abit of work and regular rehersals.

So lets put everything on the table. I have all my own gear, no gigging expierience and no transport. Im 22 and in my third year of college so ideally seeking people in a similar situation but not essential. Age or gender isn't really an issue.

Would be looking for a full compliment with a reasonable level of competance playing. Bassist, Drummer, Vocalist/lyricist and a second Guitarist. (we can alternate between lead and rythym:)).
Ideally we would start with some covers to get tight and get to know each other abit and then move onto writing original material if everything goes hunky dory.

Some of my influences, Pearl jam, Jeff Buckley, This will Destroy you, Pixies, Faith no more(and other Mike Patton projects), Regina Spektor, Katie melua, Slayer, Alice in Chains, Tool, A Perfect Circle, The Frames, Rage Against the Machine.....the list goes on. That doesnt mean I play like any of them or want to become a carbon copy of them. Lets just see what happens.

hi im also lookin to start up wit a band and im also from the southside

:) im 23 and i dont have experience wit a band as yet but i would be very very interested

im currantly in a music school right now and i have been looking out everywhere for a message just like yours

i dont play an instrument as yet im looking to learn the guitar but i sing im very new to this so i dont even no if im doing it right haha anyway

if your interested im willing to work as hard as i can to make my dreams(and yours im sure) come true. hope to hear from u

Pretty new to this too so hope you actually get this reply... yea I'm pretty much looking to do the same thing jam with a band and see what happens! I play drums but my true passion is singing the only experience I have is singing with my dad who has been a musician for yrs. I pretty much listen to anything with a beat in it and can sing anything from paramore to amy winehouse right back through the decades to aretha franklin Im have a few ideas for some original stuff so think the best thing we can do is if your interested in my post is to just get together jam and see what happens yea?
