Question about postage

Iv bought loads of stuff online and have no problem buying off sites..

Now id like to start selling stuff,iv sold a few things on adverts but thats exclusively been meeting up.The only thing thats really holding me back is posting stuff...

I was wondering how exactly do i post stuff and what are the costs incurred

eg if i had a a4 sized padded envelope thing with stuff inside it..do i need a stamp to send it away using a post box,or do i have to call into my post office,get it weighed and then they post it for me...I know for larger items you have to get them weighed but most of the stuff i have could fit into the a4 sized envelopes.

I know it may sound stupid but since i live down in cork..i can only sell to a small audience when i only offer pick up

Anything bigger than a letter envelope will need more than a 55c stamp, how much will depend on size and weight. If you don't put enough on it, it will either not get sent at all, get sent back to you, or the recipient will be asked to pay to receive it.

to Ireland (Republic and N.I.):
€ 0.95 up to 100g
€ 1.35 up to 250g
€ 1.90 up to 500g
€ 3.00 up to 1kg

to any other country:
€ 1.50 up to 100g
€ 3.00 up to 250g
€ 4.25 up to 500g
