    Same old, same old.
    What a surprise, Jack survived
! Still really looking forward to it, I wonder how
    Tony
    will come into it?

    Official Trailer by Fox,
(Seems they removed all the others from youtube.)

Wonder if they'll explain how Jack survived and if he has some side effects to deal with?

Looks like more of the same to be honest. I love 24 but I can't see this season doing anything original. I mean he's
back in bloody LA with CTU
    FFS.

??? The show is just after having one of its best seasons yet.

Seriously, how can you tell its more of the same from a 1 minute preview. Producers rarely give away much of the plot in these sort of promos.

You must have forgotten about the initial series which was at least a novelty had had tempo and Day 5 which had classic twists and turns. Day 7 was not the best series nor did it refresh the series after a disastrous Day 6.

While Day 7 didnt live up to Day 1,2 or 5, it was still a great season, and will have renewed peoples interest in it (mine included).

I hope they can deviate a little from the same old tired formula of
terrorists have weapons, will use them unless....., innocent lives will be lost, torture bad guy to find source of threat, realise government is involved, hide investigation from CTU colleagues who can't be trusted,
    etc. etc.

Hopefully there's something new going on here.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I love 24... but like most people feel its getting a bit stale and a bit predictable, Im glad the plot seems a bit scaled back this time .. as its an assassination attempt like S1, which is alot more realistic

Anyone wish they would do a season prequel, like before s1. would be class to see jack back in the day tearing sh*t up! Anyone know what has happend the movie they are supposed to be doing?

They began writting the movie during the Writer's Strike hence it seems to have been forgotten about, I think the 2 hour prequel before season 8 was the movie.

What season prequel to Season 1?

no season..I was just saying I would like them to make one.. back before jack had his whole life fu**ed around, and before he had the shakes! it upsets me when I see jack shake :(

I disagree with everyone who claims the plot's are stale, blah blah the show is now boring nothinh new blah blah.

Firstly its fiction so if you think its not realistic enough for nuclear power plants to simultanously go boom or a device that can give cotnrol of most of the country's important technological infrastructure then dont watch it!

The show has continually been great and in my opinion season 7 was in and around the best.

I always feel that each now series is somewhat fresh, cast turn around is enough to keep things new and exciting as well as different settings and new plots.

I cant wait for numero 8!

If I was a terrorist may plan would be.

    1) Kill Jack Bauer.

    2) Make terrorist type plans.

Ah, but you'd need a pretty damn good plan to kill Jack in the first place. I'm fairly sure he's un-killable, although that theory might might be test in Day 8

    Interesting mention few posts up.

I'd be very interested to see how Jack Bauer came to working in CTU, and his days in special forces.

He has worked with or met alot of people that were pivotal within the series, I'd love to see him doing his stuff.

Then again, I re-watch the Unit for my army thrills, the only accurate show depicting the military and special forces.

24 for me was great until Season 3 when it seems Hecklar and koch bought the thing over, and everyone was using USP's and G36c etc
