    Hi there

I'm a poor wee girl who has no tv in her room.

We do have tv in the house and have a tv licence.

I like to study in my room and watch tv, but have
    1. no room
    2. no cable

    in my room.

So I watch RTE player, so I can catch up on my soaps etc.. while I study at the weekend!!

However, this being the long weekend, ive watched almost everything decent on the RTE player and I'm wondering does anyone know if any other stations have a 'catch up' service online.

I believe TV3 do, but I've never been able to watch it!!??!!

Now MODS, I am wary about this forum, as I've been banned for stuff before that I didn't realise wasn't allowed to be discussed (although I did know it was wrong) but to the best of my knowledge this is not ILLEGAL as we hold a licence???

    thanks

    p

Much better than RTE, and available in Ireland.

Also BBC iPlayer via a proxy if you wish.

    Peanut,

I'm not sure what you mean by no room? do you sleep on the roof?

One suggestion, whether it's relevant or not I'm not sure with the ambiguity over your "room" situation, would be to purchase a USB TV Tuner card for your PC. You plug it in to the USB port of your PC/laptop and it's just like a telly. You would need to plug an aerial into it (which comes with it) and stick this up against the window.

Most of these things allow you to record from the TV as well. I used to leave the thing running when I was out, record about 24 hours worth of TV and then watch it back when there was nothing else on.

something like this, they're cheap enough.

Check out the Inbetweeners and Peep Show if you haven't yet. Very funny.

lol, i don't have the space!!

I have a room alright, just no space to put a tv in, unless I buy one for the wall, which I can't afford.

Anyway, Im pretty happy without one - too distracting, though its nice to have some background stuff when I'm writing up notes and stuff.

I will show your posts to my bro and see if he can hook up that USB thingy,

Will also check out the recommended shows!!

    cheers!!
